Danpalon 8mm Multicell Polycarbonate Cladding for the Holmesglen Institute of TAFE Bridges, VIC

*Holmesglen Institute of TAFE Bridges, VIC by WMCQ Architects*

The brief for this project called for two weatherproof pedestrian bridges to connect four existing student and administration buildings, across an existing road. It also required a semi-transparent cladding material, to reduce the requirement for daytime lighting. Continuous 12 metre lengths of Danpalon 8mm Multicell polycarbonate in 3 different colours (Clear, Bronze and Heatstop) provided the ideal design solution, utilising Danpalon’s easy installation method, flexibility in tight curves, wide colour range and insulative properties.

Semi-transparent: reduces artificial lighting needs during the day, radiates light at night + Can be used as a feature wall/panel
with bright colours and/or graphics + Good thermal insulative properties – reduces the need for artificial heating/cooling + Strong yet lightweight + A wide range of colours, finishes, thicknesses and lengths + Easy to install modular system + Enhanced UV protection
