In an age where environmental consciousness is vital, sunlight is one of the prime natural resources that can be used. The Tubular Skylights by Solatube utilise this resource to maximum efficiency by connecting an optical dome to Spectralight Infinity Tubing. The dome utilised in Solatube products includes smart Raybender3000 Technology which captures sun rays of all angles and directs it towards the tubing. The tubing surface features a 99.7% reflectivity rate allowing the incoming light to continually reflect over 9m with minimal loss of brightness.

Solatube offers a large range of accessories to accompany the SolaMaster daylighting systems to suit any design vision. Some accessories include the daylight dimmer which uses a butterfly baffle controlled by a switch for periods of lower illumination levels and turret extensions to raise the height of the Solatube dome to avoid snow or water.

Solatube’s Brighten Up Series features four closed ceiling models in two different sizes. The 160 DS and the 290 DS are ideally used for small spaces such as offices and corridors. Additionally, the 160 DSe and the 290 DSe have earned an Energy Star rating for its optimal energy efficiency to minimise heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer.

Like its sister product, the SolaMaster 750 DS also efficiently captures daylight for indoor use however, it is specifically designed to reject the high-angle rays at midday. This allows for a consistent light output throughout the day. The product is available in an open and closed ceiling model for versatile use in large spaces.

The SolaMaster 330 DS from Solatube captures daylight throughout the day and transmits it to the indoors to provide natural lighting to spaces where variances in light levels are not a prime issue. Solatube also manufactures designs for open and closed ceilings allowing it to be used across a wide range of commercial industries.

Poorly lit rooms are often unwelcoming and difficult to occupy, however with Solatube’s Brighten Up Daylighting Systems series of solar tubes the benefits of pure and natural daylight can be experienced in any room. The series uses highly reflective material that captures sunlight, dispersing it evenly and consistently throughout the day, whilst rejecting overpowering midday light and capturing sunlight even from the lowest angle. There is an option between two light diffusers – the OptiView and the Vusion, providing clear daylight with a view of the sky or light harmonisation respectively. Thermally conscious, the solar tubes also use a combination of advanced technology to ensure maximum sunlight with minimum heat gain or loss for efficient energy usage around the house through out the year.

The SolaMaster Series has been designed to provide an extraordinary quantity of natural light to various expansive indoor spaces. The product range includes the SolaTube 330 DS, which maximises midday sunlight, and the 750 DS, designed to create a more consistent daylighting experience, improving visual comfort and effectively extending the day for those inside.

No matter the metal decking style, Skydome’s range of skylights are still available for use. The essential design components are maintained however the skylights consist of counter flashing and are designed to work with the existing ribs of the decking for optimal waterproofing.

All Skydome skylights are adaptable to corrugated roofs with a vented, non-vented or variable vent. Soaker flashing is incorporated with the option of placing the flashing on the long side to ensure maximum waterproofing. Skydome for corrugated roofs have also been designed to fit all corrugated metal profiles.

For areas with high bushfire risk, strict building codes are in place for windows and skylights. Skydome provides the option to adhere to these guidelines with a range of non-combustible glass that complies to Australian Standards and the BCA. The bushfire skylight is available in variety of glass types all assessed by CSIRO’s Manufacturing and Infrastructure Technology Division.

Skydome’s range of glass skylights are manufactured to withstand the elements with a robust construction from raw Australian materials. Skydome offers a range of glazing options for the glass, catering for any location across the country. This includes the use of double glazing for a cooler summer and warmer winter or non-combustible bushfire glass. Skylights are a popular architectural choice to introduce light and warmth into structures and with Skydome technology, the best design will be ensured.

The new Skydome Press Formed Skylight for tiled roof profiles is part of a range of pre-fitted skylights ideal for installation in any home.  The press formed profiles produce a perfect and durable seal that is guaranteed leak proof, whilst minimising the need for sealants.   With a rear in-built soaker tray, the need for pooling behind the skylight is eliminated, reducing the risk of corrosion in especially low pitched roofs.  Proudly designed and made for Australian construction methods and the harsh Australian climate, the skylights include UV Skyguard Glazing with 99% UV Blockout as well as a guarantee of workmanship and materials.

Several building designers are using huge operable glass roofs with the objective of providing maximum space all year round. With AGP Architectural Glass Projects’ motorised sliding roofs, silent electric motors open and close the roof to provide sunlight and ventilation, or somplete weather protection. The systems are also available with optional rain and wind sensors, providing automatic closing in bad weather. AGP motorised sliding roofs come with custom-built framing and can either be site or factory glazed.

Specialist Structural Glass Assemblies are one of the most complicated kinds of projects to be undertaken in the industry. AGP Architectural Glass Projects are experts when it comes to designing, engineering, manufacturing, and installing complex structures need immense planning, experience, and skill. Design and construction of glass assemblies can be done in various ways, so as to accommodate monetary constraints and best meet the aesthetic requirements of projects. One such option from AGP includes suspended glazing with a horizontal or vertical catinary cable truss system, for a dramatic, modern effect.

Glass Roofs from Architectural Glass Projects are the most efficient and finest architectural feature for the lighting and heating of a building. A glass roof makes way for natural lighting which provides the building with an airy and open feel, as well as encouraging people to spend more time in the building. Glass roofs from AGP Pty Ltd are suitable for almost any conditions, with a range of design options to suit most commercial and corporate applications.
